About

This year I was able to experience a new thing with my wife. The feeling was actually being drawn into a fancy location and purchasing what would be a days wages of chocolate.  I am not exactly a poor individual so this was a wild experience, but it was also something my wife wanted to do and I was not going to keep that from her.  I was told this was the plan and decided to just go a long with it.  The store was elegant to say the least and it reminded me to walking into a 5 star hotel in vegas.  It was fancy and created simply to induce a certain feeling and reaction.  The shelves were exquisite and the chocolate candy boxes that filled them loaded with fancy treats was breathtaking.  So let me walk through the time and let you know if its worth spending so much for so little.

Now one thing to know about me and my wife is that we like to do new things.  It is great to experience things that take me out of my comfort zone or are simply just things i would not have thought of.  I am an individual who would rather spend money on new feelings and memories than actual products or items.  Granted I am a big gear guy and hunter so take that into account.  So when my wife suggested we visit the states most fancy dessert shop I was a bit skeptical.  The cost of this instantly turned me off knowing how much a dozen chocolates wrapped up in a fancy candy boxes would cost me.  But I decided that this was something my wife wanted to experience and I would ignore the cost in order to feel what she was feeling.

I let myself be taken away with the grandeur of the location.  I work in marketing so I understand the entire process but let that understanding go away in order to enjoy the time.  So I let the scent that was placed in the front of the store be welcomed in my nostrils.  I let the music of the grand piano in the corner being played by a paid player move me.  I then was able to ask and be given fantastic information on the chocolates we were looking at.  I learned the history of them and was able to choose what I thought I would really enjoy and so did my wife.  Trust me just getting into the experience rather you are not a big fan of it or not is important and it is something I would want my wife to do for me as well.

In th end I would never pay to do it again, but I am better for experiencing it.  The chocolate was well good, but not worth 300 dollars to do again, but the experience and to have my wife love it so much was indeed worth it. So don't judge everything by a product remember to bring a little bit of the experience seep into the justified cost.
